The main focus of the conference was to introduce the significance and role of the intelligent management system for hotel linen and guest amenities hygiene in society, the industry, businesses, and guests.

       It is understood that the intelligent management system for hotel linen and guest supplies, developed by Shanghai Suqu Information Technology Company, represents a specific application of Internet of Things (IoT) technology in the hotel industry. It not only assists hotel management in achieving staff reduction and efficiency improvement, enhancing the "cleanliness" reputation in consumers' minds as the core competitiveness of hotels, but also provides a reliable basis for digital supervision by health regulatory authorities due to its unalterable data generation. Furthermore, it plays a fundamental role in becoming a trusted label for consumers and enhancing hotel customer acquisition capabilities in the post-pandemic era. It also provides an effective solution to the long-standing safety and hygiene issues of hotel linen and guest supplies that have plagued the public and society. "Scanning to Know Hygiene" is an important measure taken by Shanghai health regulatory authorities to optimize the business environment, promote high-quality development, and streamline administration, regulation, and services. Based on the self-digital management of hotels, the Pudong Health Supervision Department hopes that hotels will proactively integrate hygiene information throughout the entire lifecycle of linen into the supervision platform, explore the use of unalterable supervision data and hotel self-generated data for quantitative grading and credit risk management, create a trusted hygiene label for consumers, and continuously enrich the connotation of "Scanning to Know Hygiene" in the hotel industry.

       Currently, the Marriott Hotel Pudong Center in Shanghai, as the first pilot hotel to implement a digital management system for hotel linen and guest amenities, has successfully introduced and put into operation an advanced digital system. The hotel can now make precise analyses of linen replacement and washing. After housekeeping staff complete room preparation, the system automatically analyzes and checks the items in the room on a per-guest basis, providing early warning prompts for rooms with potential linen replacement anomalies. This significantly enhances the accuracy of room preparation management, reduces customer complaints, and improves customer satisfaction.

Previously, the daily counting and recording of linen washing quantity in hotels required manual labor, which was not only time-consuming and laborious but also prone to errors. The application of digital systems has made inventory work fast, accurate, and efficient. When inventory is needed, the system can automatically identify and count the quantity and type of linen by scanning the linen chip, significantly reducing the daily workload of manual counting and improving the accuracy of inventory and staff work efficiency. At the same time, in terms of inventory management, digital systems can help hotels understand the loss quantity, scrap quantity, and usage frequency of linen in real time, thus accurately calculating the current inventory ratio, better planning linen procurement and replacement plans, and reducing unnecessary waste.

       Moreover, the Marriott Hotel Pudong East, Shanghai will be among the first hotels to join the self-hygiene integrity management initiative. By timely uploading digitalized room cleaning data to the Pudong Health Supervision Platform and presenting it to consumers after multi-dimensional digital evaluation of hygiene integrity data, it meets the new requirements of health supervision departments to rely on full lifecycle data for credit risk assessment and early warning supervision. It also plays a fundamental role in enhancing the hotel's ability to attract customers. More importantly, it eliminates the long-standing concerns about the safety and hygiene of hotel linen and guest supplies that have plagued consumers, helping hotels further gain trust from customers.

       At the same time, this internal management system, which aims to enhance hotel management by reducing staff and increasing efficiency, also brings direct benefits to in-house guests. Specifically, through the prominent display of the "Hotel Sanitation Assurance Code" placed in the guest room, guests can scan the code with their mobile phones to intuitively understand the current status of the linen and guest supplies in the room. This ensures that guests can stay at ease and use the facilities with confidence, and also eliminates the origin of "bed sheet scandals" from the root.

       In particular, the hotel room intelligent management system developed by Shanghai Suqu Information Technology Company has been successfully implemented and iteratively upgraded at the Pudong Center Wanfeng Hotel. It will soon be the first to be connected to the digital management backend of the Pudong New Area Health Inspection and Supervision Institute, supporting the "Scan to Know Hygiene" campaign in the accommodation sector of Pudong New Area. This provides a replicable and operable pilot experience and model for the construction of an honest tourism environment in Shanghai's tourism industry, further accelerating the development of Shanghai as an international consumption center city and a world-renowned tourist city.
